Why the name zebracore you ask? Well, Zebras hold the symbol for uniqueness and individuality with each zebra having a different set of black and white stripes. The zebra’s colors hold the duality of light and dark beautifully. Demonstrating that one could not be without the other and there is beauty that lies in both. zebracore’s founder, Kristi Vivaldi holds the spirit animal of the zebra and she carries around a miniature one everywhere she goes. She states, “I love what comes to mind when I think about what zebracore’s aesthetic is…I see the gothic and angelic tones of the black and the white, while having a vibrant rainbow explosion in the background. I feel like that encompasses my style well…I like to dress to my mood. Sometimes I feel like an angel and want to wear all white and other times I am a grungy teenager who dresses in all black. I love letting my creativity flow through my fashion, constantly bouncing between different aesthetics.”
